Brainstorm introduces "The Remote" SR-8000 Professional Multiple Machine Remote Controller for Post-Production

NYC, November 30, AES 2001 -- Brainstorm Electronics today introduced The Remote
SR-8000, capable of controlling up to 8 machines via Serial and MMC. Ideal for ADR, Foley, and other post-production work, The Remote communicates with various synchronizer modules, workstations and hard disk recorders. The SR-8000 capture keys and function keys, combined with its large displays, greatly accelerates and simplifies many standard operations.

The Remote SR-8000 is comprised of a small table-top remote (approx. 7.5" x 10"), connected to a break out box by a single cable. All connections to the machines are made at the break out box, away from the user.

Features include 100 memory registers (each including IN and OUT points), track arming with 24-track status display, 10 programmable 'F' keys, programmable offset, auto punch, loop (repeat), rehearse, and ADR beeps. "The Remote" houses illuminated transport control keys, a high precision jog/shuttle wheel, a full size numeric keypad, large 80-character LCD display, and an 8 digit Time Code reader.
