Da-Hong Seetoo, multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning*
Producer/Engineer, on the Prodif 88
(*Emerson String Quartet, Best Classical Album,
2001, and Best Chamber Music Album, 2001)
"I am very happy with my Prodif 88 cards. With its MME driver,
the Prodif 88 does everything right with every sample rate it supports.
When the sync cable is used between multiple cards they lock perfectly
together down to every sample. And best of all, the stability of
these cards is rock solid. If one is looking for an AES/EBU multichannel
24/96 card, Prodif 88 is it."
Da-Hong Seetoo, violinist, producer, and recording engineer, was
born in Shanghai and began playing the violin at the age of five.
When the Boston Symphony visited China in 1979, Da-Hong was already
a graduate student at the Shanghai Conservatory, having skipped
the first four years of college. Upon hearing Da-Hong play, Joseph
Silverstein, the distinguished concertmaster of the Boston Symphony,
personally recommended him to the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
He subsequently studied at Curtis and at the Juilliard School under
Ivan Galamian and Dorothy Delay. While still a student at Juilliard,
Da-Hong became one of the industry's most highly respected audio
engineers, specializing in equipment design and recording. He now
produces recordings for many major labels, and continues to give
concerts and make solo recordings.
